Study On Agricultural Total Factor Productivity And Influencing Factors In Chongqing

Since the reform and opening up policy of China,and along with creating the"world miracle" of economy,the agricultural economy has gained remarkable achievements in China.Agricultural success is not without cost,because the extensive use of agricultural chemical industrial products,such as pesticides and chemical fertilizers which has led to the serious environmental pollution problems.The long-term sustainable development of agriculture must shift to rely on the road of all elements of productivity.This paper took chongqing as an example,and gave the four input indicators of total sown area of crops,rural practitioners,agricultural fertilizer SheChun quantity,agricultural machinery total power.Animal husbandry fishery output was the output indicator.This paper analyzed the whole evolution of agricultural total factor productivity from 2000 to 2014 in chongqing,studied the agricultural total factor productivity,compared and analyzed the regional differences in all the counties from 2004 to 2014.Finally the paper discussed agricultural total factor productivity growth factors from many angles of the demand conditions,industrial structure,the proportion of fiscal expenditure,the level of opening to the outside world and marketization level and so on.The results showed that:(1)The agricultural output buy-backs continued to increase in chongqing,but the speed of growth in a slow downward trend;agriculture industry contribution rate and further constitution was declining;total power of agricultural machinery,agricultural fertilizer quantity showed a steadily rising trend;From the perspective of pesticides,overall it also showed the trend of up after down.(2)From 2000 to 2014,the agricultural total factor productivity overall volatiled in chongqing,and the growth rate of 2.38%per year.From the comparison of districts and counties,the growth difference of districts and counties is bigger,the highest in dazu district,and the average annual growth rate of 17.59%,the lowest is bishan district,the average annual growth rate is only 5.84%.The fluctuation trend of agriculture TFP in the three major regions is consistent,the districts and counties of'an hour economic circle",the maximum average annual growth rate 10.56%,followed by Chongqing northeast wing,was 10.03%,the smallest was 8.90%in the southeast of Chongqing.(3)The five variables of per capita,the second industry accounted for the proportion of gross domestic product(GDP),the proportion of government spending,accounts for the fiscal expenditure proportion,and commercialization rate had a significant positive impact to the agricultural total factor productivity.The variable of Per capita consumption expenditure had a significant negative effect to the agricultural total factor productivity.This paper studied total factor productivity in the development of agricultural economy in chongqing.The results of the study is helpful to correctly understand the agricultural economic development model,and conducive to a correct evaluation agricultural economic growth in chongqing,so as to formulate reasonable policies to promote healthy and sustainable development and agricultural modernization process.
