Analysis On Geotourism Potential And Strategy In Yesanpo National Geopark

Geopark is a natural territory with typical,precious geoheritage and other natural or cultural resources,aiming at the geoheritage protection,geotourism and science popularization.Geotourism is an emerging kind of tourism activities,mainly to explore and enjoy the geological landscape with scientific and aesthetic value.The geopark construction is not only protect the valuable geoheritage resources,popularize basic knowledge of geology to the public,but also carry out geotourism,promote local social and economic sustainable development.Yesanpo National Geopark of Hebei is located at the junction of the Taihangshan and Yanshan Mountains,and at the northern end of Zijingguan fracture zone,with abundant,typical and fantasitic geoheritage,being an ideal place for scientific research and geotourism.The geopark is of an excellent geographic location with easy transportation.It composed of Bailixia structural erosion gorge,Longmentianguan,Fodongta-Yugudong karst cave and other two scenic areas.During the process of the geopark construction,the geopark faces many problems.To solve these problems is of great scientific and economic significance in protecting geoheritage and environment,promoting local tourism and economic development and formulating effective and scientific conservation and development strategy.This paper discusses the geotourism situation of Yesanpo National Geopark in term of SWOT analysis.The strength includes the abundant natural landscapes and tourism resources,excellent geographic location and huge tourism demand,and the weakness includes the oversimplified tourism product and intense competition.This paper considers that the geotourism development strategy in Yesanpo National Geopark is the pioneering development strategy.Based on the analysis above,this paper proposes the following suggestions:deeply understanding the value of geotourism,promoting geoscience popularization,paying attention to ecological and geoheritage protection and controlling visitor number,setting up reasonable geotourism routes,designing multiple levels of geotourism products,which could provide references to the geopark decision-makers for improving the tourism competitive capacity,promoting geotorism and science populariztion and approaching anew stage in Yesanpo National Geopark.
