Spatio-temporal Evolution Of Urbanization Quality In The Central Region And Countermeasures

Since the reform and opening up,China's rapid urbanization has made significant achievements.But it still faces many problems,seriously affecting the quality of urbanization and the whole economic quality improvement.Premier Li Keqiang in the central economic work conference stressed the need to take the road of the new town,and constantly improve the quality connotation of urbanization,promoting the urbanization of the emphasis on quantity increase to pay attention to the connotation of quality improvement changes.Therefore only to the number of standard to measure urbanization has been unable to meet the needs of the current theoretical and practical,urbanization should be to quality as a fundamental.Based on the entropymethod,this paper estimates the comprehensive level of urbanization quality in 1998/2003/2008/2013 from the aspects of the level,efficiency and urban-rural coordination of urban development.Then,with Geodata autocorrelation,the paper studies urbanization quality geographic distribution and evolution.And the results are as follows.1)In terms of the quality of urbanization,first most of the cities increase and at the same time the widening gap has continued to expand.Second the higher quality area mostly concentrated around the capital.Third urbanization quality does not exist obvious spatial autocorrelation in space,presenting a discrete distribution pattern.2)In the coordination of scale and quality of Urbanization,first the coordination degree of most cities increase but the widening gap gradually expands.Second the capital cities have the advantage on urbanization scale but not on quality and increase rate.Third the main problem in central China is the quality of urbanization lagging,but it is gradually froms the quality lag to urban scale lag.3)For the internal provinces,The higher areas concentrat on the southeast of Shanxi,the capital and along Yangtze River of Anhui,around Zhengzhou of Henan,the southeast and west of Hubei,the northeast of Dongting Lake Plain of Hunan,and the northern Poyang Lake area of Jiangxi.And the spatial pattern has a very high consistency with the level of economic development.4)Putting forward some advices from the regional ties strengthening,urban agglomeration construction,urban and rural integration,the capital relying and specific issues in the provinces.
