In the 21 th century, Science and technology advances, the importance of human resource is becoming increasingly prominent. Practice has proved that human capital is the most valuable capital of companies. For a modern commercial bank, qualified personnel is the foundation of its business development, but also reflects its core competitiveness.In recent years, with the deepening of the domestic financial system reform, the pace of market-oriented interest rate continues to accelerate, Internet banking growth rapidly, industry competition has become even more intense, it brought new opportunities and challenges to the traditional commercial banking business transformation, and also put forward new demands to commercial bank human resources management. Bank G is a large and traditional state-owned commercial bank. Compared with the joint-stock banks and small city commercial banks, bank G has a long history and a huge number of branches and employees. At the same time, as the financial markets changes rapidly, banks G is facing the same problem with other state-owned enterprise human resources management dilemma, that the average age of the workforce is really high, especially the middle-aged employees over 40 years has a large proportion, and those middle-aged employees mostly engaged in marketing positions or operating positions have a lot of experience, but they also lack of passion and positive momentum. Taking effective measures to enhance the middle-aged staff motivation and job contribution based on practical, plays a vital role in the development of bank G.This essay is based on case studies combining theory and practice of management, according to the relevant literature, the research methods combining questionnaire and interview, it analyzed the motivation management problems of middle aged employees in X branch of bank G, to found out the real problems and reasons,and then made full use of incentives related to theoretical knowledge to seek effective solutions and advices for X branch, and provide a reference development of the industry.
