Research On Strategies Of The Rectification Of Illegal Construction In Chongqing Liang Jiang New Area

For the past few years,with the accelerating development of urbanization,the urban scale expands rapidly,the resident population is increasing largely,and the land resource is getting limited.Correspondingly,a lot of urban construction projects have been put into operation to adapt to the trend.In the meantime,illegal construction which is called “cancer” by city administrator emerges in a variety of forms.The existence of illegal construction privatize public resource,destroy social justice,restrict urban construction,break the market order,affect city image,weaken the law dignity,cause potential safety and public security.So illegal construction is a formidable task in urban planning and construction management.At present,demolishing the illegal building which is widely used in practice throughout the country is a wasteful and inefficient way to regulate the construction projects.The repeating illegal constructions has already confirmed the problem.What is more serious is that human error and inappropriate measures may cause conflicts between government and the masses.These results have damaged authorities' credibility and harmed society.In this paper,the author takes Liang Jiang New Area as an example,analyses the current situation and governance of illegal construction,and develop some new methods to solve these problems.
