| With the increasingly complex international financial environment and changes in the world economic situation,foreign trade processing orders dropped,foreign trade processing enterprises in China have different degrees of impact and influence,a lot of small foreign trade processing enterprises collapsed or shut down.How to formulate the corresponding management strategy to cope with the current international market amidst the winds of change is still an important problem for many foreign trade processing enterprises.Inventory manag ement is a very important part of enterprise management,which has a very important impact on the production and operation of enterprises.According to the theories and methods of modern enterprise inventory management,combined with their own situation to adopt appropriate measures,in order to constantly improve inventory management,improve capital efficiency,reduce cost,enhance the enterprise’s ability to survive and develop.South Pratt & Whitney Aero-Engine(Zhuzhou)Co.,Ltd(hereinafter as “SPWAEC”)is a small and medium-sized aircraft engine parts processing production enterprise.Firstly,based on researching the theory of inventory management,this thesis described the SPWAEC’s operation status and existing problems,analyzes the causes of these problems,and pointed out its shortcomings and the need to be improved,and put forward the improvement solution of SPWAEC inventory management company: according to business changes to adjust the organizational structure,divide business units bases on service function instead of production type,clear job responsibilities and authorities,increase personnel training and development;Adjust the warehouse layout to eliminate waste bases on the use of lean methodology;Optimize the material procurement,production planning,material classification,inventory control process,information system integration,strengthen information sharing;Using non-core business outsourcing and vendor managed inventory,optimize the performance appraisal system and improve inventory management performance according to the new management pattern.Based on the modern inventory management theory and the supply chain management method,this thesis makes a comprehensive analysis of the current situation of the company,the demand for production materials and the management strategy of inventory,and so on.On the basis of the extensive study of the literature,this thesis adopts the research method of theory and practice.Combined with the characteristics of foreign trade processing enterprises to find the company’s inventory management challenges and problems,and put forward a systematic,comprehensive,and operational inventory management improvement solution.Finally,the expected effect of the solution is evaluated,the possible risks are analyzed,and countermeasures are presented. |
