The only path to sustainable development of human beings is innovation,which is also the only way to national blooming and the inevitable requirement of enterprises to keep the vitality of and competitive advantage.With the rapid change of external environment and the increase of uncertainty and complexity of technological innovation,collaborative innovation has become an important organization form of enterprise innovation activities.Profoundly understanding of the network of enterprises and their resource distribution characteristics,effectively integrating the internal and external resources of the organization,and optimizing the innovation resource structure are the key to enhancing the innovation performance of enterprises.The impact of enterprise network position on innovation performance is one of the hotspots in the field of innovation management.However,most existing studies of the relationship of the two are from single perspectives,especially the internal mechanism how network position affects innovation performance was rarely studied.Based on the social network theory,resource-based theory and innovation theory,this study analyzes the mediation of organizational memory in the relationship between network position and innovation performance,and the interaction between network position and openness on innovation performance in the context of collaborative innovation.Relying on the empirical research of the local enterprises in China,the results show that:network position has significant positive impact on the innovation performance;organizational memory acts a mediating role in the relationship between network position and innovation performance;openness plays a positive part in regulating the relationship between the structural hole and the innovation performance.Based on the conclusions,the suggestions on management proposed are as follows:firstly,enterprises should pay more attention to identify and optimize their own network position;secondly build a good corporate culture,and take measures to create real-time control of information management system;finally,inherit the organizational experience,knowledge and technology.The study reveals the mechanism how enterprise network position affects innovation performance,and enriches the research on the existing social network and innovation management.It also provides the theoretical references for enterprises to identify their network position,enhance the network management ability and knowledge management ability,to further improve the innovation performance in practice.
