Suitability Evaluation Of Reuse After Rural Homestead In Jiashan County

With the rapid development of social economy and urbanization,more and more farmers choose to work and settle in cities,leaving rural homestead and farm buildings idle.Even if there are a large number of farmers who have not migrated their dwellings to towns,the improvement of their living standards has increased their demands for the quality of life.Therefore,there are more and more phenomena of over-standard housing construction,illegal housing construction,and one household with many houses.In order to solve these problems,it is necessary to conduct the reform of rural homestead system.In recent years,experts and scholars have done a lot of researches,and provided valuable theoretical supports for the reform of rural homestead system.However,there are still a lot of problems.Taking Jiashan County as the research area,this study investigates the utilization status of rural homestead by field research and face-to-face interview.Then we make a summary and analyses about the basic overview of the village and the ways of the homestead existing and reusing.Based on the first-hand data,this study attempts to carry out the suitability evaluation of the reutilization mode of Jiashan county’s homestead.According to the related research,five evaluation factors,namely natural resources,social economy,location,infrastructure conditions,ecological environment have been selected to establish a suitable index system,specifically 17 evaluation indicators included.Then the principal component analysis is used to weight every indicator,and the cluster analysis method to classify.Finally,the ArcGIS software is used to respectively evaluate regional division from 5 single factors,namely,nature,social economy,location,infrastructure,ecological environment and comprehensive factors.The result shows that there are different types of rural homestead in a certain area and different ways of transformation should be adopted.That the first type is suitable for business and tourism,mainly located in the central urban and township.The second type is suitable for living and tourism,mainly surrounding the first type of land.The third type is suitable for industry,the distribution is relatively decentralized,and the fourth type is suitable for reclamation and mainly located in remote areas.Finally,according to the results of suitability evaluation,the paper puts forward some specific suggestions on the exit mechanism and reuse of homestead.
