Complex product system innovation is of concern.The innovation of China's highspeed rail is an example of success.The innovation of complex product system is characterized by multi-organization collaborative innovation.Then,the innovation performance of complex product system will be influenced by the technical cooperation among enterprises.Under the background of complex product system,taking the high-speed railway as a sample,based on cooperative innovation theory and knowledge transfer,this paper introduces the intermediary variable of technological innovation ability,and constructs the relationship model between technical cooperation,technological innovation ability and innovation performance.Among them,the technical cooperation is divided into vertical chain cooperation(including customers,suppliers),horizontal chain cooperation(including universities/scientific research institutions,peers)and the utilization of government resources three dimensions.And the technological innovation ability is divided into two dimensions of technology absorptive capacity and technology development ability.Firstly,the data are collected by questionnaires,then the empirical method is used to verify and analyze the theoretical hypotheses.The research obtains the following conclusion:(1)The horizontal chain cooperation and the government resources utilization will not have the direct influence to the innovation performance,but through the technological innovation ability,namely the technology absorbing ability and the technology development ability to have the indirect positive influence effect to the innovation performance.The vertical chain cooperation mainly through the technology absorption ability and the technology development ability has the indirect positive influence to the innovation performance,and also have the partial direct influence to the innovation performance,namely the technology absorbing ability and the development ability in the vertical chain cooperation and the innovation performance does not have the complete intermediary function.(2)Vertical chain cooperation and horizontal chain cooperation have significant influence on technology absorptive capacity and technology development ability,and government resource utilization only has significant positive influence on technology absorptive capacity.In addition,the technical cooperation dimensions have the different influence to the technology absorbing ability and the technology development ability.(3)There is a significant chain mediating effect between technical cooperation and innovation performance in technology absorptive capacity and technology development capability,but different technical cooperation dimensions to innovation performance are mediated.However,different technical cooperation dimension is different from the intermediary path of innovation performance.Finally,according to the results of the study,combined with the reality,this research puts forward several suggestions on government and enterprise practice,which can provide reference for enterprises to realize effective innovation performance.
