Ultra-precision involute gears are widely used in aerospace,precision machinery,industrial robots,new energy vehicles,national defense and other fields.The improvement of gear manufacturing quality depends on many aspects,and the accuracy of gear testing technology and instrument is an important factor.The four items stipulated in the national standard GB/T 10095.1-2008 of gear are single pitch deviation,total cumulative pitch deviation,total profile deviation and total helix deviation.For the gear artifact of class-1,the first three test techniques have been broken through.At present,the testing technology of helix for class-1 accuracy standard gear is still blank in China.Based on the technical problem of measuring the helix deviation of class-1 precision gear artifact,this paper analyzes the influence of each error source on the measurement accuracy of gear helix deviation and designs a high precision device to meet the requirement of measuring the helix of class-1 precision gear artifact,and it focuses on the measurement technology of the gear helix.According to the mathematical model of the influence of gear installation error on gear helix deviation,a new type of high precision positioning method for gear is put forward,and a high precision positioning device with the precision of 0.1 ?m can be developed to measure the helix of the gear artifact.A high-precision probe device with a straightness error less than 0.02 ?m and a highly sensitive micro displacement error transfer lever are proposed and developed.By analyzing the uncertainty of measuring the helix deviation,the uncertainty of the total helix deviation is 0.23 ?m,the uncertainty of the helix slope deviation measurement is 0.20 ?m,and the uncertainty of the helix form deviation is 0.18 ?m,which respectively compare with the uncertainty of the German Federal physical technology Institute(PTB)are reduce 84%,80% and 82%.It can be seen that the high precision helical gear measuring device designed by the laboratory has higher measuring accuracy.By comparing with the measurement results of PTB helix deviation in the premise that the measurement interval is increased by 6%,the values of the total helix deviation,the helix deviation and the helix slope deviation of the high precision gear artifact measuring device are less than the measuring results by PTB.The research shows that the measurement method and measuring device of the gear artifact helix deviation proposed in this dissertation can reach the magnitude of sub-micron,and meet the requirements for the measurement of gear helix of class-1 and above.The successful design of spiral measuring device is important for scientific significance and research value,which improves the measuring technology of class-1 precision gear artifact.
