The tailing pond is an important production facility of the ore dressing plant. It is used for long-term storage of useful components after grinding and beneficiation. The safety of the tailing pond is related to the life and property safety of the operators and residents in the downstream areas and the normal development of the production and life of the mine.Once the tailing depot accident occurs,it will be a major disaster in the production and life of the mine, which may cause casualties, economic losses and environmental pollution. From the time scale of the construction and operation of the tailing pond, the subjective factors that affect the safety of the tailing pond may range from site selection, engineering survey, tailing pond design,to daily production operation and safety management. There are major hidden dangers and defects that may cause irreversible accumulation of tailing ponds. In this paper, the tailing pond of a mining company in si chuan is taken as the research object, and the sedimentary characteristics and stability of fine-grained tailing are analyzed.According to the original tailing pond,a mining slurry test model was established, and the stability of the tailing pond under different particle diameters, different concentration of ore deposits, and different discharge velocities was analyzed using different finite element software.Point conclusion:(1)According to the comparative analysis of domestic and foreign literature, the particle size, the concentration of ore deposits and the flow velocity of ore deposits have significant effects on the sedimentary characteristics and stability of stacked fine-grained tailing.(2)According to the experimental data of particle analysis,it can be obtained that the particle size of the stacked tailing in this tailing pond is relatively fine. The stacked tailing are mainly tailing powder soil, the particle size is better, and the anti-liquefaction capacity of the stacked dam is strong.Reducing the concentration of the pulp can reduce the yield stress, avoid and agglomeration in the pulp, and cause the pulp to sort and settle.(3)According to model experiments, the deposition characteristics of the ore under different ore depositing conditions are analyzed. The experimental results show that coarse particles are easier to deposit than fine particles, and the sedimentation concentration is 28%.At the same concentration, the internal friction angle of tailing It decreases with increasing distance, and is more pronounced when the flow velocity is small(such as 0.9L / s);when the flow velocity is large(such as 1.2L / s),the amplitude of the change in the friction angle in each position on the beach is smaller; The lower the flow velocity, the larger the internal friction angle;the effect of the flow velocity on the internal friction angle is greater than the concentration.(4)FLAC3D is used to establish a three-dimensional finite element model, and the calculation results are consistent with the model test results.According to the results of the stability analysis, when the particle size is too small,it is not conducive to the stability of the fine-grained tailing, while the high concentration of ore deposits and the small flow velocity are beneficial to the stability of the fine-grained tailing.
