Color is a very important appearance property of textiles,which affects the quality of products and the purchase desire of consumers.Therefore,the requirements for color reproduction accuracy are becoming higher and higher.Especially in some special fields,such as military camouflage clothing,because of its particularity,the requirements for color accuracy were more stringent than that of the ordinary clothing.At present,when it is necessary to communicate with customers on color of products,no matter at home or abroad,traditional way of mailing physical samples is still used.However,the printing patterns in the printing are mostly well-designed electronic patterns,which are transmitted and colored between computers,so that the color matching is difficult and the reproducibility is poor.The reasons for that are the hue deviation of different displays,the color matching error of printing operators and the different color rendering principles of displays and dyes,and so on.How to improve the stability and accuracy of color matching has become one urgent problem to be solved as soon as possible.The electronic camouflage pattern on the monitor was adopted and combined with color matching method of manually operation in the factory in this paper and a new color matching method was proposed to improve the production efficiency and color matching accuracy by the analyzing the error source.The color management in printing was imported into color matching,and the operators matched for the color of the paper card printed by the ink-jet printer after color management to verify the feasibility of “monitor-paper-fabric” color matching method.The main research contents and conclusions were as follows:Study on the best parameters of color management based on i1 Profiler: the military camouflage color was used as the object,and ICC profiles were made based on the color measurement conditions and the “perception” parameter options in i1 Profiler respectively.Then the ICC profiles was called and printed in Photoshop to evaluating the quality of printed products by post-printing color difference,and the influences of color measurement conditions,the “perception” parameter options and the choice of rendering method in Photoshop on the final printing color were explored.It was found that for papers containing fluorescent whitening agent,M2(UV exclusion)should be selected for color measurement.The “perception” option was set to be “Colorful”(that was,when the contrast,saturation and neutral gray level were 40,40 and 75 respectively)and the rendering method was “Absolute Colorimetric”,the color difference of the camouflage image printed after using these parameters setting was relatively minimal.Study on the relationship between paper characteristics and color reproduction of printed matter: the coloration of the same ink on different papers was explored and a mathematical regression model between paper performance and print quality was established.First,it was concluded that the glossiness,roughness,whiteness and ink absorption of paper affected the ink-jet printing effect by analyzing the printing effect of different paper.The paper with high glossiness,high whiteness,smooth surface and low ink absorption had better color effect and was suitable for color reproduction.Secondly,the regression model of paper performance and printing effect was established: Y(average color difference)=-0.057 Z + 13.103(Z was the comprehensive value of paper).Through the model's verification,this model can predict the printing effect of paper,and the prediction effect was basically consistent with the actual printing effect.The influence of fabric properties on the color effect of printing and dyeing: eight kinds of cotton fabrics with different structures were dyed with vat dyes.It was found that for different fabrics with the same dye concentration,their apparent color depth varied with the fabric structure.The curve distribution of K/S value changing with dye concentration was thick canvas > poplin > tribute silk.Therefore,the color of fabric was directly related to fabric structure.In addition,there were five main factors affecting the dyeing effect of fabrics: yarn linear density,weft density,thickness,gram weight and gloss.The comprehensive value of fabric properties was positively correlated with the K/S value after dyeing.The larger the comprehensive value of fabrics,the deeper the apparent color after dyeing,so it was necessary to compensate the displayed color according to different fabrics in the process of color matching.Verification of color matching method: two methods of color matching were adopted and analyzed by comparing the color difference based on the standard screen color: one was “monitorfabric” color matching method,which matched the printing pastes according to the color from computer monitor after color correction,and another was “monitor-paper-fabric” color matching method,which matched the printing pastes according to the color of the paper card printed by the ink-jet printer after color management.The results showed that the "monitor-paper-fabric" color matching method could replace "monitor-fabric" color matching method.Most of the color differences for the color blocks in the camouflage pattern were lower than 4,except for color block 5 and 6,which presented color difference of 4.526 and 5.730.It showed that most of the colors in the camouflage pattern were well duplicated,so it was a convenient and feasible color matching method.In addition,the color difference of 6 camouflage colors between paper and fabric were all lower than 3.5,which indicated the color consistency between paper and fabric was better than that between monitor and fabric.Through the research,it was found that the color matching method used in this paper was a feasible color matching method.As an intermediate medium,the color display of paper card is relatively stable,and it is more conducive to the transmission and communication between customers and manufacturers.It solves the uncertainty of color display of the monitor,and can provide reference for color proofing in factories.
