The Connotation Analysis And Scale Development Of Dependence Between General Contractor And Subcontractor

Since the pilot project of general contracting of engineering in China in the 1980 s,a series of policy documents have been promulgated by the relevant state departments to promote the rapid development of the project general contracting mode.Due to the lack of "big and strong" engineering general contracting enterprises in our country at this stage,the project general contractor has become an important form of project general contracting mode through subcontracting.As a result,the dependency among engineering sub-contracting organizations has become an objective phenomenon and has an impact on the implementation of the Engineering Procurement Construction projects.Although some studies have realized the importance of the project-based relationship between project subcontracting organizations,there is still no systematic study on the relationship among project subcontractors.The reason for this is that the existing research has not yet clarified the connotation and dimension division of the interdependencies among the total project subcontractors.Therefore,this study focuses on the interdepartmental dependencies of total project subcontracting,and explores its connotation in-depth.First,the systematic literature review is used to integrate the research on the intension of inter-organizational dependencies.Organizational dependencies are the degree to which individuals in the organization work together to achieve their goals,perhaps as a result of the need for specific resources or the selection of partners in the transaction.Combined with the situation of general contracting mode of engineering,the total project subcontracting relying on inter-organization is the cooperation situation between the two organizations,which comes from the demand of each other's resources and relations.The demand for resources is an essential activity for the organization to survive.The demand for the relationship is a key factor in maintaining a stable state of cooperation among the organizations.Secondly,on the basis of summarizing the mature scale,combined with the situation modification design of general contracting mode,we get the initial scale of 12 items of project total subcontracting organization,and select five experts and scholars from related research the contents were repeatedly judged,adjusted and refined to ensure the validity of the content of the questionnaire.Small sample data collected in Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei Province verified the feasibility of the initial scale and formed a formal scale.Finally,questionnaire star software was used to issue the questionnaire,the application software SPSS21.0,AMOS24.0 for data analysis to verify the reliability and validity of the scale,and finally get the formal questionnaire containing 12 items and this scale has a good Reliability and validity.In the exploratory analysis,resources and relational dimensions are further divided into four sub-dimensions: the importance of resources,the irreplaceability of resources,the closeness of relationship and the dependence of relationship.On the basis of this,a reasonable interpretation of the framework of the inter-organizational dependency dimension is given based on the hierarchical dimension of the dependencies between project total subcontractors and the dimension of the influencing factors.In order to further explore the dependencies between the project subcontractors,the research on the impact of contracting projects laid the foundation.
