First of all,this paper systematically sorts out and summarizes relevant literature,including the concept and classification of new energy automobiles,the concept of industrial competitiveness,and the “diamond” model theory.The paper focuses on the connotation,application and development of the “diamond” model and forms the literature review to provide theoretical guidance for the follow-up statement.Secondly,the paper studies and discusses the current development status of new energy automobiles in Guangdong,and analyzes the market scale,industrial policies,industrial research,industrial history,existing problems and other aspects.Combining with various specific policies and data,the paper helps people have deeper understanding of the current development status of the new energy automobile industry in Guangdong Province.Then the paper uses the Porter's diamond model and other predecessors' research findings,and combines with the characteristics of the new energy automobile industry to form a modified “diamond” model,and construct an evaluation index system for industrial competitiveness.According to the competitiveness evaluation system,data are collected and processed through various modes so that the industrial competitiveness of Guangdong and other provinces and cities is systematically compared and analyzed.Finally,based on the above-mentioned comparative analysis,the paper explores the advantages and disadvantages of the new energy automotive industry development in Guangdong Province,and puts forward several suggestions for the development of the new energy automobile industry in Guangdong Province.
