The substation is one of the key facilities for safe and stable operation in the entire power grid.It is the central hub station that connects the power supply side and the load side.The safe and stable operation of the substation is the basis for the safe and stable operation of the entire power grid.In this paper,based on the matter-element method,the substation safety operation risk assessment system is discussed as the research object.According to the development status and existing problems of the project,the risk and control measures of the substation operation and maintenance and the research status of the application of matter-element method are summarized and constructed.Based on the model of substation safety operation risk assessment system based on matter-element method,taking a substation in a power grid jurisdiction of Shandong Province as an example,the sub-station safety operation risk assessment system based on matter-element method is used to evaluate the risk.Based on the virtual instrument technology software Lab VIEW Based on the UDP protocol,the sub-station safety operation risk assessment system software based on matter-element method was developed.In the end,the benefits between normal substation and intelligent substation with this system was compared via simulation.
