Pavement preventive maintenance refers to road maintenance in a state of good technical condition with only minor illnesses or symptoms.It takes the right time,the right measures and the application on the right road.Compared with traditional maintenance,preventive maintenance can save a lot of maintenance costs,effectively extend the service life of the road,and make the road surface in good technical state for a long time.This is a new way of conservation and an important direction for the development of conservation.Making decisions is a prerequisite for implementing preventive maintenance.The first question is: how to judge whether the road is suitable for preventive maintenance,how to choose preventive maintenance measures,and how to determine the time for preventive maintenance? But so far,the above three problems have not been well resolved,especially for ordinary highway asphalt pavement.In response to this,the research work carried out in this paper mainly includes:(1)Established road condition standards for preventive maintenance of ordinary highway asphalt pavement.Includes macro standards,micro standards,and road conditions that are not suitable for preventive maintenance.Among them,the macro standard is that under the premise that the structural strength of the pavement is sufficient(PSSI ? 80),other indicators(PCI,RQI,SRI,RDI)are in the range of values corresponding to the good state;the microscopic standard is the early stage of the road surface,the slight disease corresponding Feature description.In addition,the road conditions for preventive maintenance that are not suitable for the road surface are also summarized.According to this,it can be judged whether the road surface is suitable for preventive maintenance.(2)A method for determining preventive maintenance measures for ordinary road asphalt pavement is proposed.On the basis of summarizing the meaning,performance,characteristics and scope of the typical measures for preventive maintenance of ordinary road asphalt pavement,these typical preventive maintenance measures are applicable to the prevention and control of pavement diseases.Pavement diseases,major problems that can be solved,and pre-treatment projects that should be completed before implementation are summarized into a table.In addition,the type,sub-category,severity and appropriate preventive maintenance measures for early road asphalt pavements are also summarized as tables.Combining the above two forms,it is easy to determine preventive maintenance measures based on the occurrence of early disease on ordinary road asphalt pavement.(3)The method of determining the preventive maintenance time of ordinary highway asphalt pavement is optimized.The combination of “indicator triggering method” and “cost effect assessment method” is used to determine the time for preventive maintenance.Among them,when the basic data such as road condition assessment is lacking or insufficient,the “indicator triggering method” is adopted.When the road surface technical conditions reach(trigger)the standard roadway preventive maintenance road condition standard,preventive maintenance can be implemented.When the basic data is sufficient,the “cost effect evaluation method” is adopted to summarize the cost composition and calculation method in the whole life cycle of the road surface,and quantitatively analyze the effect of preventive maintenance.Calculate the cost-benefit ratio and determine the best time for preventive maintenance when the cost-effectiveness ratio is greatest.The principle of the “cost effect evaluation method” is clear,but the amount of manual calculation is large.To this end,an auxiliary calculation system for preventive maintenance time of asphalt pavement was developed to reduce the intensity of manual calculation and make up for the shortcomings of the “cost effect evaluation method”.(4)Application example analysis.The above research results are applied to practical projects,and two preventive sections of Hubei province are selected to carry out preventive maintenance decisions respectively.This paper expounds the judgement method of whether the road surface is suitable for preventive maintenance,the method of determining preventive maintenance measures,and the method and process of determining the timing of preventive maintenance,so as to provide an example for the preventive maintenance decision of ordinary highway asphalt pavement.
