Planning And Execution Of Construction Methods For Large LNG Carriers

Large liquefied natural gas(LNG)carrier is a special carrier which can transport LNG in-163℃.LNG carrier is regard as the most technical,difficult,and additional value.It is also called one of the pearls on the crown in shipbuilding industry worldly.At present,Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding(Group)Co.Ltd is the only one shipyard which can build large LNG carriers in China.Based on the author’s work and experience,this thesis describes the development history of Hudong-Zhonghua for LNG carrier research,and the development of new type of LNG products.On the basis of construction experience before delivery of the six 147,000 m~3 LNG carriers,this thesis describes the research on construction methods and implements for Exxon Mobil/Mitsui O.S.K.Lines172,000 m~3 LNG carriers.Meanwhile,this thesis also summarizes the problems and the experience during the LNG shipbuilding.In this study,it mainly contains the outfitting and painting majors,including the cryogenic cargo piping modules production plan optimization on the main deck,integrality outfitting for funnel block,no rust technology planning and implementation,construction technology for containing fluorine polymer silicone antifouling characteristics and construction technology,optimizing and improving of the new type detachable clips.In addition,the paper sums up the problems and experience of construction methods carried out,and lists the benefit analysis in each methods.At last,the paper expounds the key points of construction of the LNG ship in the future.
