With the development of our country,urban population continued to expand,the appearance of the city was changed rapidly and peopled living standard was improved greatly.At the same time,a variety of social demands were also initiated.Under this social background,more attention was paid on the education problem,especially on the basic education.So the structural reform of education was speedup gradually.As the city public service facilities,primary and secondary schools played important role in public education.And the planning and design of primary and secondary schools welcomed more development opportunities.However,the present construction of primary and secondary schools in our country didn’t adapt to the modem social multiple needs and went behind the city rapid expansion and the update of educational concept,because of a series of defects in the layout,scale,overall planning and space form of them.In the face of such problems,To solve this problem,the adaptability of the city primary and secondary schools planning needs re-examine.We need to analyze various influencing factors seriously and find the solution to the problem.Construction planning adaptive of primary and secondary schools will have a positive practical significance for social progress and urban planning.By research on the relative theories of planning and design field in domestic and overseas primary and secondary schools,the basic situation and developing direction of primary and secondary schools’ design were showed in this paper.According to the developing process of primary and secondary schools’ building and based on the schools’ adaptability design,the specific content of primary and secondary schools’ planning were discussed in the paper.It analyzed the influential factors carefully that caused these situations by concluding of these representative problems which were what primary and secondary schools’ facing at the present in our country.In the process of considering the planning adaptability of primary and secondary schools,it should confirm schools’ public function,mode of running a school and planning methods in the combination of social needs,city development and education concept.According to different condition of construction,the corresponding planning type should be chosen and launch the planning design of primary and secondary schools,with the design principle of sustainable development and overall coordination and cultural inheritance.In the end,taking Arxan Irsch education park project as an example,the early stage of the project analysis was carried out in detail basing on the practice of the project.In order to adapt the new social development,studied planning and construction is necessary basing on the grasp baseline and physical conditions.Strategy for adaptability of the primary school planning was illustrated and design methods and constructive suggestions were raised,in order to provide useful inspiration for other similar campus planning and construction.
