With the wide application of intelligent substations,full digital relay maintenance technology is officially released.All digital relay protection can meet the four requirements of "speed,selectivity,sensitivity and reliability" of relay protection,which can ensure the stability of the power grid.All digital relay protection should pass through the communication network,The two circuit,intelligent equipment and the stable matching between the protection equipment,in order to make its whole function to the extreme,so the traditional two circuit maintenance has not been able to meet the basic needs of the existing intelligent substation.Therefore,this paper changes the 110 kV peach garden in Urumqi area.Power station relay protection design to meet the needs of intelligent substation relay protection development.First of all,based on the relevant research results of relay protection system and intelligent substation at home and abroad,and according to the actual situation and characteristics of 110 kV Taoyuan intelligent substation,the intelligent substation system is analyzed.The 110 kV Taoyuan intelligent substation relay protection is designed,and the overall design scheme of 110 kV Taoyuan intelligent substation relay protection is given.The equipment protection of station control layer,interval layer and process layer is designed in detail,and the protection information collection scheme and the application design of intelligent substation are completed.The effect of optimized configuration of relay protection in intelligent substation is verified.By comparing with the traditional substation,the results show that the intelligent substation has great advantages in meeting the protection reliability and sensitivity,reducing the input of primary equipment,and making the substation structure simpler and clearer.
