Since the reform and opening,China's economy and society have developed rapidly,especially in the blooming construction industry,which become the pillar industry of national economy.Construction companies as builders play an important role in promoting development.Under the new economic situation of the steadily promoting three strategies: the “One Belt and One Road”,the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Economic Development,international construction market,infrastructure construction and new urbanization,etc.will still provide significant opportunities for the development of the construction industry.Thus real estate companies face new challenges and opportunities.Due to the extensive management of many construction enterprises,a situation of high output value with low efficiency widely exists.Therefore,on one hand,in order to obtain long-term development,construction enterprises should strengthen their domestic market position and increase market share in the fierce market competition.On the other hand,construction enterprises should constantly adapt to the foreign economic environment,social environment and industrial environment,and gain more development opportunities with limited resources.In this thesis,S construction company(a subsidiary company of Sichuan Huashi Group Co.LTD)was taken as the research object,and the strategic management of which was comprehensively analyzed using strategic management theory and related analysis tools.Firstly,it was conducted that an extensive review of current research and a brief analysis of the relevant theories and analytical methods of strategic management as the theoretical basis of this thesis.Secondly,it was analyzed that the macro environment and industry environment in which the company was located by PEST analysis method and Michael Porter's five forces model,indicating the political and legal environment,national and market economic environment,social environment,technical environment,as well as business environment of S construction company.Generally,the macro environment was positive while the business environment was not so optimistic due to the fierce competition in the industry.Taking the situation of business,human resources,cash flow,research,information technology,resource allocation,etc.On this basis,SWOT matrix assessment was conducted for S company and strategic combination was carried out to facilitate the targeted strategic strategy.With SWOT assessment results,the future development goals and strategic overall design ideas of S company were put forward,and strategic selection was conducted.According to the opportunities and threats existing in the external environment and the advantages and disadvantages of S construction company itself,it was formulated a development strategy that “focusing on market expansion,operating diversified management,building strategic alliances and promoting the development and application of new technologies”,that is,a combination of professional strategy and diversification strategy.Meanwhile,in order to ensure the implementation process and effect of the strategy,a series of safety measures were proposed.Based on the strategic management theory,this paper analyzed the problems faced by S construction enterprises under the new development situation.It was aimed in this thesis to make exploration and research on the development of the construction industry,and to give some practical reference to the strategic management of the large or mediumsized state-owned construction companies.
