Research On Planning And Design Of Islands As Human Settlements

Today,island development has become the focus of attention in China in the 21 st century.However,due to the rapid development of islands in recent years,many problems have arisen.The problem of human settlement planning and design of islands cannot be ignored.Therefore,it is imperative to study the planning and design method of human settlements on islands..The island fishing village is a form of human settlement space that has existed for a long time in the island environment.In the long-term development process,after repeated attempts by the fishermen,island fishing village gradually formed a state of harmonious symbiosis with the natural environment of the island.It contains a wealth of wisdom and design skills to adapt to the special environment of the island and becomes an excellent representative of the island’s living environment.So,doesn’t the modern island’s human settlement planning and design need to learn its excellent ideas and design methods? Therefore,this paper studies the law and characteristics of the selection and layout of several island fishing villages,and explores the concepts and methods of human settlement planning that can be applied to contemporary islands.This has important application value for the development of island planning and construction in China.This paper analyzes 7 islands and 17 fishing villages in Shandong Province,Zhejiang Province and Fujian Province through field research,and collects relevant documents and network materials.The article summarizes the corresponding three levels of human settlements from the macro-regional pattern level,the middle-level of the fishing village layout and the micro-building environment level.On this basis,it sums up the value embodied in the revitalization of the island fishing village.At the same time,taking Haitan Island as an example,through comparative analysis of modern planning and traditional island habitats,try to point out the problems in modern planning and reflect on them.And by combining with the value of the construction of human settlements in the fishing villages of the island,the author thinks about its enlightenment on the creation of modern island habitat.Finally,combined with the full text analysis,summed up the four suggestions for the modern island habitat construction method: the first is to establish the green overall pattern of island settlements at the macro level;secondly,on this basis,to construct a cohesive and compact settlement pattern conforming to the island environment and the social characteristics of the island;At the same time,it is necessary to inject the traditional cultural elements of the island into the settlements of the islands,increase the sense of belonging of the residents,and create a “homeland” island living relationship;finally,at the level of the built environment,it is necessary to grasp the special regional environmental characteristics of the island and adopt an ecological architectural design method that is compatible with it.
