| With the global economic integration and the development of the "the Belt and road" strategy, the competition in overseas power station EPC project market is becoming increasingly fierce and compete irrationally especially in contract price. Many power plant EPC turnkey contractor have chosen to take into account the quality and safety of the project at the same time, and to increase investment,to optimize design and construction scheme,to shorten the progress of the project in order to obtain more market share in the international power station-construction field and perform the contract works on time in accordance with the contract. However,in the actual execution of the project, due to the lack of systematic project management manner,over-emphasis on compressing the progress of projects may lead to rising costs, frequent safety and quality accidents, and could not achieve the expected results in the project management and total cost control. Therefore, the selection of the appropriate method taking into account the cost and schedule control for the current EPC project in overseas power plants is very significant.Based on the principle and application of earned value method,to explore the feasibility to apply EVM in the overseas power plant EPC project.the office building from the power plant is selected as an example to implement the EVM method, the different parameters, such as CV,SV,CPI,SPI etc.are compared and analyzed from time to time to judge whether the project is in control or not.And base on the result of the processing parameters to predict when the project will be finished and how much the total cost is at the same time. The experiment in this paper is successful and reach the ideal outage.Because it is relatively simple when the EVM is used in the unit,it should consider many differences and commonalities between unit and the whole project, and many advices are given in this paper when the EVM is to be used in the whole power plant. It lays a practical foundation for the application of EVM in the whole power plant projects in the future. |
