Under the background of economic development that China's economic growth lacks sustained vitality and investment and consumption capacity is insufficient,it is an effective strategy usually adopted by the government as the watchman of market economy to increase investment in the field of infrastructure in order to drive the continuous growth of China's economy, improve the investment structure of China's market and increase domestic consumption demand, and finally make the economic development on the right track. In recent years, infrastructure construction in the field of civil aviation in China has been accelerating, which has injected new vitality into the development of China's urban economy. The opening of civil aviation brings more travel plans for people to travel, which speeds up the flow of population between cities and brings new changes to the development of urban tourism. The samples selected in this paper are cities and regions with airports built in China between 2000 and 2013.Based on the historical panel data of prefecture-level cities in China this paper used DID,PSM-DID and other empirical research methods to explore the influence of civil aviation traffic on the development of tourism in cities and regions in China after the opening of aviation services, calculated the contribution rate of aviation traffic to the development of tourism, further analyzed the heterogeneity of the samples, and finally discussed the basic mechanism of civil aviation traffic on the development of tourism in cities and regions in China. The advantage of DID model is that it creates a scene of quasi-natural experiment, which not only enables us to observe the effect of policy implementation based on time dimension, but also enables us to observe the average net treatment effect based on individual dimension. At the same time,PSM method makes this quasi-natural experiment closer to the ideal state, that is,closer to a natural experiment,by reducing or eliminating the systematic bias of samples. In control of the other confounding factors can influence the development of tourism,we can conclude that the civil aviation opened does to a certain extent, promote the tourism development of cities and regions in China, and on the contribution rate of it,the civil aviation will be able to give to cities or regional tourism revenues accounted for the proportion of GDP from 1.7 to 2.4%average growth; The central region of China has a large population density and is close to the important tourist market. The overall transportation infrastructure in the western region is relatively backward. The development of transportation infrastructure in the eastern region is always ahead of the central and western regions, therefore, navigation has the greatest influence on the central region, followed by the western region and the eastern region.Compared with the north, navigation has a more prominent impact on cities and regions in the south of China.By affecting the number of tourists, civil aviation transportation will further affect the domestic and international tourism market as well as urban and regional employment market structure,so as to ultimately affect the development of urban and regional tourism in China. Finally, the policy Suggestions given in this paper are as follows:from a long-term perspective, the construction of civil aviation infrastructure in China must combine the actual situation of the economic development of cities in China and the differences between regions, dock supporting resources, create favorable conditions, follow the principle of cost-effectiveness and grasp the principle of moderate lead.Only in this way,China's civil aviation infrastructure construction will be more conducive to the development of urban tourism.Innovation of this paper is based on the city level panel data, using incremental DID,PSM-DID and other relatively scientific and advanced measuring methods, thus this paper illustrated the civil aviation transportation and the relationship between the city or regional tourism development through quantitative research and measured the contribution rate of its influence. All of these make up for the deficiencies of existing literatures, which are mainly qualitative analysis, lack of regional dimension and multiple book quantitative analysis, and it is difficult to make the conclusion universal. Therefore, the conclusion of positive influence of civil aviation on tourism development can be extended to a larger scope. The shortcoming of this paper is that due to the limitation of statistical data,it is also difficult to more accurately reflect the dynamic influence of civil aviation traffic on tourism development through monthly data.In addition, due to the limitation of space, this paper did not further analyze and evaluate the efficiency of civil aviation transportation in the development of tourism. However,it is of great significance to evaluate the efficiency of the impact of civil aviation transportation on tourism in the heterogeneous analysis. Also because of the limitation of space, this paper fails to further reflect the dynamic adjustment process of the interaction between civil aviation traffic and urban tourism by analyzing the changes of airport routes and flights, and fails to make use of the changes in the number of enterprises in the tourism industry before and after the opening of civil aviation and the changes in the investment of related industries to more fully reflect the process of the impact of civil aviation traffic on urban and regional tourism in China.
