For engineering construction companies,good project cost control is an important guarantee for the survival and development of companies.In recent years,the production mode of engineering construction companies has been constantly changing,especially the continuous renewal of management system and management mode.Project management is the key work of engineering construction companies,and project cost control is the key work of project management.Therefore,to improve the competitiveness of engineering construction companies and their position in the economic market,the first task is to control the project cost.Based on this,it is necessary to study the project cost control of construction companies.The main purpose of this thesis is to introduce the "improved earned value method",a project cost control method of controlling cost and schedule simultaneously based on parameter and index optimization,into the project management of ZJ engineering construction company(hereinafter referred to as ZJ company),to help solve the problems existing in the project cost control of ZJ company,improve the level of project cost control,and adapt to the changing market economy.At the same time,it also provides specific application examples for the research of project cost control methods.Firstly,the thesis introduces the relevant theories of project cost control,traditional earned value method and improved earned value method,which lays the theoretical foundation for the research of the thesis.Secondly,it introduces the basic situation and project overview of ZJ company,the current situation of project cost control,and points out the main problems in project cost control,such as weak control awareness,lack of perfect management system,and analyzes the reasons.After that,the thesis designs the project cost control scheme based on the improved earned value method for ZJ company,including the necessity and feasibility analysis of the implementation,the basic steps,the determination of the cost earned value and the actual,the analysis and control of the deviation,the dynamic analysis of the project cost control and so on.Through project A,the scheme is applied and the effect is evaluated.Finally,it puts forward specific safeguard measures from four aspects: organizational structure,system,technical support and asset management.Three conclusions are drawn from the practice of the improved earned value method.Firstly,the improved earned value method can make up for the deficiency of the existing project cost control method in actual application,and provide a new perspective for the optimization of existing project cost control theory.Secondly,the improved earned value method can improve the cost control awareness of all project personnel and the level of project cost control,solve the problems in the project cost control of ZJ company effectively.Thirdly,the improved earned value method can consider the project cost and schedule together,and solve the practical problems in project management effectively.
