The ever-increasing of load demand prompts Dongguan power grid to speed up its power grid construction,which leads to the level of optimal control of voltage and reactive power cannot be controlled by the existing automatic reactive voltage control system(AVC)in Dongguan.Meanwhile,Long periods of voltage over-limit and frequent action of reactive power compensator occur frequently.Therefore,it is necessary to study a new automatic voltage control system to improve the response speed of the system to the occurrence of voltage over-limit and to adjust the reactive power compensator reasonably,so as to realize the reactive power optimization control of the power grid voltage in Dongguan.This paper first briefly introduced the current situation of voltage and reactive power control in Dongguan power grid,then the core algorithm,control technology and regulation strategy of AVC system at home and abroad was introduced which was the theoretical basis of AVC coordinated control system.For the problem of time-cost of genetic algorithm in the optimization procedure,a modified genetic algorithm was used in this paper.Firstly,the sensitivity analysis method is adopted to analyze the relationship between control variables and state variables in the network,and then genetic algorithm was used,by which time cost of searching decreased.The modified genetic algorithm adopted in this paper is carried out reactive power optimization with ieee-14 node system as an example.The results showed that the algorithm can quickly converge.Second,according to the situation of Dongguan grid reactive voltage control,the demand and bus pass reactive busbar voltage were analyzed.Then the system modulated cost was used as the goal of AVC,in order to control system to adjust the cost as the goal,to optimize the high voltage grade and high degree of important objects,the system has carried on the design,and considering the demand in different operation condition adjustment made the system control strategy table by which the periods of voltage over-limit decreased,and the number of device actions decreased.Finally,the feasibility of AVC coordinated control system is verified by the application of AVC coordinated control system in Dongguan power grid.The results showed that the power quality and power supply stability of Dongguan power grid were significantly improved with the operation of AVC coordinated control system.The operating network loss reduced,which facilitates the safe and efficient operation of the integrated control management mode.
