The Relevance Protection Of Historic Urban Landscape Based On Historical Layering Process In Wuhan

Since the reform and opening up,China has entered a rapid urbanization period.Large-scale urban construction activities have brought serious challenges to the authenticity and integrity of urban cultural heritage,and the contradiction between urban cultural heritage protection and urban development becomes increasingly prominent.The proposal of “Historical Urban Landscape” interprets the historical evolution of urban development from the perspective of the combination of "historical" and “synchronic”,grasping the city identities and dynamic characteristics during urban development,which can provide effective analysis and management for overall protection and planning for the historic urban landscape.Wuhan as the second batch of National Historical and Cultural City,has rich historical and cultural resources,and its unique natural geographical environment has nurtured unique urban cultural landscapes.Wuhan has also faced such problems as fragmentation of urban heritage,gradual blurring of urban historical texture,and fragmentation of historical context,under the globalization tide.This thesis is intended to be based on the theory of Historical Urban Landscape,and delineate the scope of the study with the main urban area of Wuhan.The historical evolution process of the study area was sorted out,and the historic layering process of the three towns in Wuhan was restored,then the characteristics of historical urban landscape was identified.Finally,the logical relationship between material elements and the development and evolution of the cultural environment was analyzed.The thesis provides decision-making suggestions for the integrity and systematic protection of the National Historical and Cultural City of Wuhan.The thesis is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is an introduction,which introduces the research topics proposed based on the research background,as well as the current research reviews of historical urban landscape at home and abroad.The second chapter is the theoretical basis of the thesis.It mainly expounds the connotation of the historical urban landscape from three angles of "historic layering","correlativity" analysis,and "correlativity" protection.And it explains the dialectical relationship between the three angles,classify the composition of elements of historical urban landscape.The third chapter is sort out the historic layering process of three towns in Wuhan.The elements of material and cultural environment of three towns in Wuhan are sorted out based on the translation of historical data,and the characteristics of historical urban landscape of Wuhan are identified.The chapter four has correlativity analysis between the elements of historical urban landscape and the social and cultural environment of Wuhan,then clarify the logic of the development and evolution of Wuhan's historical urban landscape.The chapter five is the suggestion for the "correlativity" protection of Wuhan's historical urban landscape.The overall protection planning and development proposals for the natural and cultural resources of historical city of Wuhan are proposed,based on the interpretation of the conservation planning of the historical and cultural city in Wuhan,and the perspective of "correlativity" protection.
