Study On Post-occupancy Evaluation At The Reconstructed Fengling Park In Ziyang

Urban park is a significant element of urban space,which have an effect upon purifying air?beautifying the environment and improving the ecological environment of the city.Meanwhile,it is the main place for residents to relax and be in touch with nature,which can improve the quality of life greatly.At present,many urban parks have been upgraded in order to improve the quality of leisure life of urban residents.As the main action subject of urban park,the user should be concerned by the designer and the ultimate goal of the design is to improve their user experience.Paying more attention to the evaluation of residents for urban park,exploring ways to reach the requirements of user is not only the essential requirements of humanization design,but also the key issue to be solved by landscape designers and scholars.This paper takes the reconstructed Fengling Park of Ziyang City as the research object under the perspective of residents,using the method of literature analysis and Post-Occupancy Evaluation research methods includes questionnaire survey,interview,observation and record and data analysis to carry out the investigation and research for the park,so as to evaluate the use of the park and take measures to optimization and upgrading.The following studies and conclusions are introduced in this paper.(1)Reviews the studying of POE at domestic and abroad,and elaborates the definition and characteristics of it,the methods of investigation and research,and the evaluation process,which lays a theoretical foundation for this study.(2)Introducing the basic situation includes history,location,natural environment and reconstructed background of the park,and explain the landscape condition of the park before reconstruction,and elaborate the reconstruction design plan.(3)POE was used to investigate parks from three aspects: users,activity space and park management.The basic information,activity status and satisfaction with various indicators in the park were collected by questionnaire survey;Through the interview of the park management personnel and maintenance personnel,investigate the park management mechanism and staff working conditions;Several typical activity Spaces such as the entrance and exit space,the central square of the park,the Yan lake and the leisure and fitness area were investigated and analyzed by the method of observation.The advantages and disadvantages of each activity space were summarized by studying its environmental characteristics and combining the behavioral characteristics and psychological patterns of users.According to the survey,Fengling park has superior location conditions,beautiful environment,reasonable spatial layout,outstanding cultural features,great overall use and high satisfaction of users.However,the park also has deficiencies,such as lack of fitness equipment,plant landscape,supervision and so on.(4)According to the evaluation results,from the professional point of view to survey analysis and combined with the suggestions of respondents,corresponding improvement suggestions are put forward for each main activity space,at the same time,comprehensive evaluation and optimization suggestions are made for the overall use of the park,including: improving service facilities;strengthening functional zoning;optimizing plant landscape;strengthening management and maintenance;enhancing science popularization function.The results of the investigation will be helpful for the future construction and development of Fengling park to reach the psychological and behavioral needs of users,and provide reference for the construction and reconstruction of similar urban parks.
