The Post Occupancy Evaluation Initial Research On The Urban Park In Harbin

Urban park is urban green basis facilities. As the urban's major public open space, it plays a great role on urban construction. In recent years, with the deeply development and consummation of the urban park construction, the research on how to strengthen the construction and management of the park's environment is increasingly widespread. However, sufficient attentions still haven't been paying to the user's requirements, the effect of the parks in use is not satisfying. Face on this vacancy, the paper brings in the theories and methods of post occupancy evaluation(POE), chooses four representative urban parks of Harbin as a case study, uses the methods such as locale investigating, questionnaire, open interview to make a use survey on post occupancy evaluation.First, the paper makes a horizontal comparison between the four parks, in order to contrast the commonness and differences of the different kinds of parks combining on the results of the analysis. Second, the paper summarizes the factors which influence Harbin urban park's use results, including different users, natural environment, planning design, park style and management. Based on the results, the problems existing in Harbin park are summed up, including short of function partition, lack of public facilities, improper facility layout and so on. At last, with all of these, the paper puts forward some corresponding advices and measures for Harbin urban park in two aspects: design and management, hoping to offer reference on park design, construction, transformation and management.The paper is only the stage of initial exploration of the fresh studies - urban park's POE research. Hoping the basis work can offer application experience of POE method in the urban park, and be useful for raising Harbin urban park's design and management quality.
