A Report On The C-E Translation Of Two Economic Industrial Reports

An economic industrial report,released by an authoritative agency on the basis of careful investigations and researches,contains analyses of an economic industry's current state,and forecast of this economic industry's development trend.The Chinese-English translation of economic industrial report,not only can help Chinese enterprises go out and fully integrate with the world,but also can help foreign enterprises better grasp the present situation as well as the future trend of this economic industry,which is beneficial for our country to better develop business contacts and trade cooperation with other countries and thus further boosts the economic prosperity.Therefore,the C-E translation of economic industrial report plays an increasingly important role in the foreign trade and economic development of all countries,which is worthy of deep researches.The author accepted this translation task in the graduate study to provide the English version for two economic industrial reports,namely,The Report of China's Angel Investment Market in Q1'15 and The Report of China's M&A Market in Q1'16.Through the analysis of the two economic industrial reports,the author summarizes the translation difficulties and challenges confronted in the translating process.To-make sure that the readers of target language can have easy access to the correct understanding of China's market and development trend of this economic industry through the English version,the author has employed communicative translation theory to enlighten the translation practice.Under the guidance of communicative translation theory,translation techniques to the difficulties have been figured out.On the basis of accurately delivering meanings of the source text,the English version is made to be immediately understood and easily accepted by readers of target language in a smooth and natural way.Before the translation practice,the author has realized the research status on the translation of economic industrial reports.On that basis,the translating process is recorded until the completion of this translation task and some translating suggestions are offered with the hope that these translation practical experience shall perform the function of good reference to both the translation practice of economic industrial reports and relative researches,so as to constantly improve the translation quality of economic industrial reports and deepen the translation studies of this type.
