With the increasing frequency of international exchanges,TV media has become an important mass media for China's interaction with other countries in the world.The demand for interpretation in TV media occasions has increased,and television interviewing has been in the ascendant.The contents of the interview with Bill Gates were the source text.The author conducted the practice of simulated interpretation of English to Chinese interpretation.The author records the interpreted text then analyzes the problems arising in each period,and proposes corresponding improvement methods.The focus of this report is to explore the characteristics of interpretation of TV interviewing and find out the differences among other forms of interpretation.Interview interpretation is much more oral with lots of short phrases and sentences.What's more,there are repeated expression and parentheses in it.Compared with conference interpretation and speech interpretation,it has less strict or standard grammar.In the beginning,the interpretation task is described and the preparation is recorded.Next,the interpreting process and post-interpretation appraisal are recorded.The appraisal includes self-appraisal and audience feedback.At last,the problems occurred in the interpretation are analyzed and effective solutions are given.Due to the simulated consecutive interpretation,there are certain differences with real interpreting activities.As a result,there are some unavoidable limitations in the outcome of this report.Through this practice,the author deepens her understanding of consecutive interpretation and has improved her ability to interpret.Through the analysis of the difficulties and problems,some feasible methods are given,which have certain reference value and application value for the later interpreters.
