With the increasing economic cooperation in the world and the increasing diplomatic activities in China,the translation of business texts becomes more and more important,particularly,the translation of business legal texts is getting more attention.The original material is part of WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION ACT,and WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION ACT is a business legal text.Referring to functional equivalence,the author finishes the translation.In the process of translating,the author tries to solve every problem and to overcome all the difficulties,and in the thesis,the author summarizes the translation strategies and explains them with cases,so the case analysis part is very important.The author tries to explore the translation strategies and translation methods in the thesis,and hopes they can provide translators who study business legal texts reference.The thesis includes three main parts: first,explaining the language features of the text;second,the process of translating the text,from preparation to translating;last,explaining the translation strategies and choosing some typical cases,which are based on functional equivalence.Through the first part,the author understands the material in detail;the author explains the translation process in the second part;in the third part,the author chooses cases to explain the translation methods,referring to functional equivalence.By the description,process,case analysis of the task—WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION ACT,the author expects that each process of translation can be shown,including understanding the original material correctly,expressing the translation properly,proofreading carefully to assure the quality of the translation.
