| As an independent subject,Chinese teaching for foreigners has a history of more than forty years.Now,it is developing rapidly with the new name of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages(TCSOL)and presenting the unique charm of Chinese.With the development of TCSOL,Teaching Chinese as Foreign Languages(TCFL)textbooks have been published in great number.According to the "Global Chinese textbook library" statistics,there are over 5,000 textbooks in the library.But at the same time,there are more problems and challenges,such as: in present TCFL textbooks,words are mostly translated into English.In some ways,these words are inappropriate,and can have a negative impact on Chinese vocabulary learning.Therefore,how to accurately translate and edit vocabulary in English has become an issue.[sBased on the existing research achievements in this field,this paper put forward some new opinions by adopting many kinds of research methods from the perspective of textbook vocabulary translating and editing with the principle of domestication translation.Among all TCFL textbooks,three textbooks are selected as representative reference: "Primary School Chinese","Learn Chinese with me","Chinese Intensive Reading ".The paper is divided into five parts: the first part is an introduction that introduces the background of the topic,the current state of research,the research contents,significance of research and the research method.The second part introduces the related translating and editing theory of the vocabulary of TCFL textbooks.The third part is the problem and cause analysis of the vocabulary compilation in these three TCFL textbooks as well as some countermeasures.The fourth part is about the problem and cause analysis of the vocabulary translation in these three TCFL textbooks as well as some countermeasures.The last part is the summary of this paper.Hope that this paper can provide sound reference to future TCFL textbook vocabulary translating and editing. |
