Study On Synonym Of Monosyllabic Notional Words In Ho-Kuan-Tzu

Ho-Kuan-Tzu,with a high great value in the study of vocabulary history and literature history,is one of works of the Pre-Qin Taoism.Taking the monosyllabic notional words in Ho-Kuan-Tzu as the object of study of the paper,a method of double verification to test and explain the meaning of the monosyllabic notional words is used in the paper.And on this basis,the author divides the monosyllabic notional words into two groups: synonym and near-synonym.On the basis of grouping the synonyms,first,this paper collates the text containing the monosyllabic notional synonyms in Ho-Kuan-Tzu.Then,groups the synonyms that are in the same sense.And last,when analyzing the words of the synonyms,the method of exhaustive quantitative analysis is used,as the frequency of the same sense.In this paper,when differentiating synonyms,the author lists several couples of typical synonyms and focuses on differentiating them from meaning.The main conclusion is: in order to group the synonym,two main ways will be raised—getting a perspective from the same or close meaning as well as insure it in the light of the relevant position of the key notional words.Hence,when reading the ancient literature,readers can guess the meaning of the unfamiliar words via the meaning of the known words,which are in the same position.Meanwhile,with regard to Ho-Kuan-Tzu,more detailed explanations to the meaning of the words contribute to readers who want to know more about it.This paper contains five chapters.Chapter one is the introduction,in which the author mainly states the reason,purpose,task,method and significance,value as well as the information of Ho Kuan Tzu and the overview of Ho-Kuan-Tzu.Chapter two is the essential information of the monosyllabic notional synonyms in Ho-Kuan-Tzu.285 groups of monosyllabic notional synonyms are list in Ho-Kuan-Tzu,which conclude 65 groups of nouns,75 groups of adjectives,and 145 groups of verbs.Chapter three mainly presents the detail analysis of the monosyllabic notional synonyms in Ho-Kuan-Tzu.It mainly concludes 12 groups of nouns,23 groups of verbal synonyms,and 16 groups of adjective synonyms.Chapter four mainly presents the discrimination of the monosyllabic notional synonyms from seven aspects.Chapter five is the conclusion,in which it lists the core idea as well as the shortcoming of the paper.
