In order to deeply explore the key competencies of sport dance teachers for children trained in privately-owned schools in Nan Chong,to analyze its reasons,and to suggest the effective ways to improve the quality of privately-owned training schools,this study adopts such methods as literature reviewing,questionnaires,mathematical statistics,and logical analysis.Through literature reviewing,this study examines the current situation of studies on the key competencies both for children and for teachers.After summarizing the basic content of key competencies both for children and for teachers,this study designs questionnaires for experts to do surveys on the key competencies both for children and teachers to define the content framework of the key competencies both for children and teachers specialized in sport dance.Based on the content framework approved by experts,this study deeply examines the teachers for children trained in privately-owned training schools in order to learn its current situation concerning the key competencies,to analyze its reasons from multiple approaches,and to provide suggestions.Conclusions:The key competencies for children learning sport dance include the following three levelled indicators.Level I: athletic ability: healthy behavior;sports morality.level II: 10 indicators,such as physical agility,sport cognition,spirit,morality,character.Level III: 30 indicators,such as cardiovascular endurance,muscle strength and endurance,toughness,agility,strength.The key competencies for teachers specialized in children's sport dance include the following four levelled indicators.Level I: education ideals,education feelings,education capability,and teachers' characters.level II: 14 indicators,such as the ideas on education,the ideas about students,the ideas about the teacher's role,the sense of care,and the sense of responsibility.Level III: 28 indicators,such as better verbal ability,acute observing ability,strong communicating ability,good listening ability,cooperation ability.The above listed system of key competencies both for children and for teachers is highly approved by experts.Currently,the key competencies of sport dance teachers for children trained in privately-owned schools are not satisfying.The training quality for professionals received prior to teaching has the biggest effect on the key competencies of children's sport dance teachers in Nan Chong.The boarding trainings provided by privately-owned schools are generally insufficient.The investment on in-service training provided by privately-owned schools is insufficient as well as poor in quality.Suggestions:Actively cooperate with the training system for professionals provided before they start teaching.Guided by the formation of the key competencies for children's sport dance teachers,direct requirements for professionals should be given.To strengthen on boarding training,it is important to raise the efficiency of children's sport dance teachers' role transition by focusing on strengthening the key competencies of teachers specialized in children's sport danceMore investment on in-service training is needed to strengthen the effect of in-service training so as to improve the key competencies of teachers specialized in children's sport dance.
