Interpreting is a communicative activity that transfers one language to another language so the information can be passed and communication can be realized.As a bridge for cross-language communication,interpreting requires at least two languages and relevant skills.Nowadays,due to frequent interpersonal contacts,the need of interpreting is very large.As voice recognition technology,cloud technology and improvement of corpus have made more achievements,people have been managing to develop speech translation to play the role of interpreters offering help in cross-language communication.With the statistical method becoming the mainstream of computer translation research,the evaluation scores of computer translation system are getting higher and higher.Now the computer interpreting is doing a good job in daily communication and is expected to undertake more works for the conference interpretation,business negotiations and other more serious occasions which needs high-quality interpretation.This report aims at comparingthe translation results of two different speech text translated by one translation application with standard translation results and evaluating them based on the perspective of communicative strategies.The results of this experiment show that speech translation level is limited by speech recognition errors and the choice of different texts would also have the impact on the achievement of communicative strategies in speech translation.
