With the development of economy and technology,China is occupying an increasingly important position in the world.Chinese has attracted people’s attention from all over the word.More and more people in the world are learning Chinese.The Chinese fever phenomenon is also happened in Indonesia.With the development of the Indonesian economy,especially Indonesia’s econimic prosperity in recent years,many Chinese companies have flooded into Indonesia,and more and more Indonesian people are learning to learn Chinese.Since the restoration of Chinese language education,many universities in Indonesia have joined the flood of setting up Chinese language departments.Especially after 2010,the Chinese language department of The National University of Indonesia has mushroomed.State University of Surabaya is one of all Chinese language education majors in Indonesia.In 2010,State University of Surabaya began to establish the Chinese Language Department.In August 2011,it began to enroll students.At first,there were fewer students.After seven years,the Chinese Department of State University of Surabaya has made great progress.The vast majority of students at State University of Surabaya come from non-Chinese Indonesian nationalities.They do not have a Chinese background and the difficulty of learning is relatively large.The purpose of this article is to investigate the use of existing textbooks in the Chinese Department of State University of Surabaya.Based on this,opinions and references are provided on the construction and development strategies of indigenous textbooks in Indonesia.This study mainly focuses on survey on the use of existing textbooks in the Chinese Department of State University of Surabaya is The focus and core of this study.The full text mainly includes:(1)The concept of construction of localized textbooks;(2)Survey on the use of existing textbooks in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at State University of Surabaya from several dimensions such as overall evaluation,skills assessment and partial evaluation,and discuss the attitudes and views of teachers and students on the use of existing textbooks;(3)To evaluate the development and construction of localized textbooks for teachers and students at State University of Surabaya,and to discuss the Indonesian local teaching materials construction and development strategy so as to provide reference for the real development of Indonesian localization textbooks in the later period.The thesis mainly uses,questionnaire method as well as some observations and interviews.
