In recent years,the Chinese economy has developed rapidly and the whole world is interested in Chinese.Chinese courses are offered in most universities,middle schools and even primary schools in Thailand.The polyphonic character of modern Chinese is one of the difficulties that the Thai students often encounter in the process of Chinese acquisition.This should also be a common difficulty for Chinese learners from different countries.In Chinese textbooks,there are many polyphonic characters,which have different pronunciations and meanings on different occasions.Students are often prone to make mistakes.What is important is that the teachers should give the students a clear explanation of the differences between the polyphonic characters,including pronunciation,meaning,methods of use and the reasons for the change of the polyphonic characters and the origin of the word.From the perspective of helping Thailand students learn polyphonic characters,this article studies the polyphonic characters in the HSK Level 4 vocabulary of the New Chinese Proficiency Test,conducts test surveys on the teaching of polyphonic characters.Through the preliminary test design and teaching methods,students can better understand the similarities and differences between the polyphonic in the HSK Level 4 vocabulary of the New Chinese Proficiency Test;through the practice of classroom teaching to improve students' ability to identify and use polyphonic characters.This paper is divided into four chapters:Chapter one:introduction.This section describes the current situation of polyphonic characters in modern Chinese,the research background and purpose of this paper,research methods,and research objects.Chapter two:the multisyllabic examination in the syllabus of Chinese vocabulary.This paper first elaborates the total number of polyphonic characters in HSK Level 4 of the New Chinese Proficiency Test and then carries the analysis on polyphonic characters.Chapter three:the investigation and analysis of multi-tone characters acquisition in Thai students.Through the investigation test to understand the students' mastery of the polyphonic characters,and find out the characters that students tend to misread,misunderstand,and misuse to analyze the causes of misreading of Thai students.Chapter four:Strategies for multi-tone character teaching in Thai students.Through the results of the survey and analysis of polyphonic teaching strategies and teaching methods,students can better understand the similarities and differences between polyphonic characters in the HSK Level 4 vocabulary of the New Chinese Proficiency Test.After the teaching practice,the test is carried out again to analyze the effectiveness of the new polyphonic teaching method and to summarize the remaining deficiencies.In the last chapter,the full text is summarized in the closing part.
