A Project Report Tourism Interpretation On 2017 Qinghai International Bicycle Speed Down Race

In recent years,with the booming development of inbound tourism in China,more and more foreign tourists show keen interests in visiting China.Therefore,how to introduce the Chinese culture to foreign tourists and how to meet their cultural and psychological needs are challenging for the tourism interpreters.Based on the reporter's guide interpreting for foreign athletes who attended 2017 Qinghai International Bicycle Speed Down Race,the reporter aims to analyze the difficulties encountered in tour guide for tourists from non-English speaking countries,and gives corresponding solutions.The reporter encountered many language issues and cultural barriers during the project.Language issues mainly referred to the difficulties in discrimination and comprehension of non-English speaking tourists and interpreter's poor language ability,including inaccurate and inflexible use of grammar and words,etc.Cultural barriers referred to how to interpret cultural-loaded words;how to record the key information and how to become a knowledgeable tour guide interpreter.In the course of the project,the reporter interpreted for tourists from both English speaking and non-English speaking countries.Through further analysis,the reporter puts forward the solutions:adoption of three dimension transformations,application of information visualization,acquisition of knowledge in every aspect.It is hoped that the opinions given by the reporter will inspire more scholars to study how to become a good tour guide interpreter for non-English speaking tourists and provide more creative solutions.
