The middle school stage is the critical period of life.During this period,the individual's physical and mental development accelerates,and the development of the self-quality will also face more difficulties and pressures.Due to the unbalanced development of middle school students' physical and mental development,many students are prone to psychological distress when faced with adversity,and cannot cope with stress and setbacks smoothly.Resilience is the ability of an individual to respond smoothly when experiencing difficulties and stress,and to have a positive impact on the individual's life.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to examine the effect of resilience of middle school students between locus of control and self-quality,and provide specific educational advice for families and schools to improve the self-quality of secondary school students.This study uses the method of questionnaire survey,885 middle school students were selected by using the Resilience Scale for Chinese Adolescents,Internality?Powerful Others and Chance Scale,the Mental Health-Related Self Scale for Chinese Adolescents to fill in the research,and the following conclusions were reached:Firstly,the overall level of resilience of middle school students is good,and the resilience of middle school students is positive and optimistic on the cognitive level.The resilience level of middle school students differs significantly in terms of gender.Female students score significantly lower than males in emotional control,while female students score significantly higher in interpersonal assistance and support.The mental toughness of middle school students is significantly different among the first grade,the second grade of middle school,and the first grade and the second grade of high school.Secondly.the locus of' control of middle school students is mostly internal control type,and there are significant differences in the gender and grade levels of different types of locus of control.In the internal control type,the quantity of girls is significantly higher than that of boys,and the quantity of boys is significantly higher than that of girls in the controlled by others.The number of students in middle school and high school who have the influence of others and opportunities to control is significantly higher than the number of students in the first and second grades,and there is no significant difference in the internal control type on the grade level.Thirdly,there is no significant difference between the gender in self-quality of secondary school students.The total score of self-quality of middle school students differs significantly from grade to grade.but there is no significant difference in physical self-esteem and self-esteem of middle school students on the grade level.Fourthly,the resilience of middle school students and the types of locus of control are significantly related to their self-quality.Fifthly,there are portion mediating effects of the resilience of internal control and the self-quality of middle school students.Resilience plays a mediating role between the opportunity to control type and the middle school students' self-quality.
