The Study Of Frost's Descent Festival Folklore Culture Of Zhuang Ethnic Group In Tiandeng,Guangxi

The Frost's Descent Festival of Zhuang nationality,with many culture activities,such as commemorating heroes,worshipping the ancestors or gods,choosing mate by singing and commercial trading,is the embodiment of the Rice-farming(Na)culture.It is held during the solar term of Frost's Descent and populared by Zhuang people in Tiandeng,Daxin,Debao of Guangxi and Wenshan of Yunnan,also by Nung,Tay,Luoyue people in Laos.Basing on field researches in some district and studies on relative documents,this paper introduces the forms and activities of the Frost's Descent Festival.There are five parts in this paper.The preface introduces the reason,the purpose and the importance of the study on this topic,makes researches on the relative documents on the solar term and the festival and presents entire arrangement of this study.The first chapter takes the Frost's Descent Festival in Tiandeng of Guangxi as example,introduces its historical and cultural environment,legends,activities.The second chapter describes the Frost's Descent Festival in Xialei of Daxin,makes a comparison on the Frost's Descent Festival in Xiangdu and Xialei,finally infers the origin of its legends.Basing on previous studies on the festival activities,the third chapter analyzes the cultural connotation and function of the festival,including the festival features,such as heroes,nature,worshipping ancestor,pantheistic beliefs and the festival function of blessing,regulating,cultural identity and assimilation,choosing mate by singing,entertainment.The fourth chapter firstly introduces the current situation of the festival,mainly describes the difficulties of the inheritance of the festival,such as the shaking of the foundation,the weakening of the function,the lack of the inheritors,etc.Secondly,it discusses the significance of the inheritance of festival.Last,but most important:this part analyzes how to protect festival,discusses the combined way of regular protection and building cultural brands to make the festival development fit the rapid changes of the society and gives some suggestions on the development of the Frost's Descent Festival.As a folk-custom which is inherited and enjoyed by a nation for generations,festival provides a foundation and platform for cultural identity and assimilation among different ethnic groups.The protection of traditional ethnic festival and splendid traditional culture meets the needs of society development and enriches the culture diversity.
