Difficulties And Techniques In Translating English Autobiographical Fictions Into Chinese

Nowadays,the feminist works are abound and as an English learner,the author is interested in the history of feminism of England.Besides,by exploring the relationship between the British Women's vote Movement and the Liberal Party,it is helpful for us to understand the nature of bourgeois political parties and to understand the history of England.So,at last,I decided to translate the English original book My Own Story to understand British women suffrage struggle history through translating,to understand the history of political parties in Britain,and the most important thing is to summarize the relevant experience through this translation,and apply it to the future practice to improve the author's translation skills.This report is divided into five parts.The first part gives a brief introduction to the background and significance of the translation selection;the second part introduces the whole process of translation,that is,the preparation before translation,translation process and proofreading after translation;the third part focuses on the linguistic features and difficulties of selecting articles from four aspects,which are changeable nominalization structure,many long and difficult sentences,flexible style and special cultural context;the fourth part gives examples of the difficulties in the previous chapter and summarizes the corresponding translation techniques:for the variable nominalization structure,according to the different sentence context,we should reserve the structure or transform it into the S-V or O-V structure;and for the long and difficult sentences,according to the logic of the sentence,we should choose the translation skills of following the original sentence order or reordering original sentence elements.Besides,according to the author's different expressions,we should combine the cultural context of the article,and we can not separate from the context;the fifth part summarizes the translation practice and puts forward the direction of future efforts.
