In recent years, with the over-exploitation of resources, the accelerated expansion of cities and the frequent occurrence of natural disasters, many landscape structures have been destroyed, and the primitive ecosystems have also been damaged. In the age of globalization, these are universal problems. As an emerging discipline, landscape ecology focuses on the types, spatial patterns, and ecological processes of landscape units from the perspective of ecology. Therefore,Translation of texts in this discipline becomes particularly important. The study of landscape ecology English can not only expand academic exchanges, but also help accumulate valuable experience in translation. This report is based on the translation of a thesis about landscape ecology, which introduces the degree of fragmented landscape structure and the cases of restoration all over the world.Through the application of Geospatial Information Systems(GIS)and Remote Sensing(RS)technology, the recovery situations are assessed by building a visual platform. The Skopos theory is the representative theory of Germany Functionalist School and has a significant effect on translation practice of landscape ecology English. Therefore, under the theoretical guidance of Skopos theory, the translation strategies are summarized in terms of lexicon, syntax and diagram, mainly involving literal translation, omission, amplification and so on.The translation of landscape ecology not only enhances the translator's professional knowledge in this field, but also improves the translator's translation ability.
