At present,as international exchanges in art industry are becoming more and more frequent,music interpreting at class is of great significance.In music class,only with the help of the interpreter,the foreign professor can succeed in instructing students in performing technique,practicing skills and musical concept.So far,literature on music class interpreting mainly focus on the effect of musical knowledge gap on interpreting quality,while few studies can be found to raise coping tactics for interpreting failures according to interpreting process.This practice report is based on the author's two interpreting tasks during a music festival.The author summarizes the features of music class interpreting,and then discusses some interpreting principles.On the basis of the recording transcription of class interpreting,the author sums up the failures she had and attempts to explore the possible causes.Under the guidance of the Interpretive Theory,the report puts forward some coping tactics according to three interpreting stages,namely comprehension,de-verbalization and re-expression.Then the author applied all these proposed tactics to the later practice.The tactics are proved to be effective based on the author's self-assessment and clients' feedback.
