A Practice Report On Bidding Document Translation Of "Construction Of The Overcrossing Railway (XX Station) On XX Avenue By Using The Loan Of AB Bank"

As the process of world trade continues to advance,more and more international companies are participating in China's commercial competition.Therefore,commercial activities such as bidding and tendering are increasingly important.Bidding documents are the legal and executable standard documents that must be followed by the purchase party when bidding.With its logical features,it cannot be inconsistent and ambiguous;and the language must be precise and brief.According to international practice,the main language used in international bidding activities is English.This translation report starts with the translation project of domestic competitive bidding documents for bridge projects.Based on the background and purpose of the project,it summarizes and analyzes the whole process of translation work,including pre-translation analysis and preparation,translation,and proofreading and revision.From the three levels of language,namely,the characteristics of terms,sentences and text,it summarizes and then gives corresponding translation strategies and translation skills,as well as the problems encountered in the translation process by the author in the process of English translation.The shortcomings are summed up so as to take inspiration and provide inspiration for similar translators or peers in the future.The translation project in is completed under a reasonable arrangement and with the help of the project manager.In actual operation,the author profoundly realize that it is necessary not only to profoundly understand the meaning of the original text but also to have strong language skills to better translate bidding documents.
