With the development of new curriculum reform,situational language teaching has been received a lot of attention by English teachers in English classroom teaching of junior middle school.More and more English teachers begin to pay attention to the meaning of situational language teaching in English teaching process and continue to explore it in teaching practice.Situational language teaching accords with students' age and psychological characteristics in junior middle school,which emphasizes the students' main position in teaching process.During the English class,teachers should combine teaching objectives,teaching contents,students' interests and students' abilities to create a reasonable teaching situation.Situational language teaching can stimulate students' interests in learning and attract the attention of students.It can enliven the atmosphere in the classroom and it can improve the efficiency of English teaching.Thus,students can easier understand the knowledge and finish the construction of the knowledge's meaning.Then students can finish their learning objectives.It can finally cultivate students' comprehensive ability to use language.The research draws lessons from a great deal of literature on situational language teaching.This paper summarizes the research situation of situational language teaching in junior middle school.At the same time,data are collected to find the existing problems and analyzing the causes by investigating the present situation of English classroom situational language teaching and combining with teaching cases in H Middle School in Fuqing of Fujian Province.This paper puts forward the countermeasures to improve the situational language teaching in junior middle school,which provides some reference for English teachers to carry out situational language teaching in their teaching practice.This article consists of five chapters.The first chapter summarizes the background of this article,purpose and significance of this paper.The second chapter briefly introduces the concept of situation and situational language teaching.It expounds the theoretical basis of situational language teaching and the current research situation at home and abroad.The third chapter expounds the problems and reasons encountered in the implementation of situational teaching by the investigation and analysis of the situation teaching in junior middle school.The fourth chapter is to put forward improvement strategies according to the existing problems in English classroom situational language teaching in junior middle school.The fifth chapter is a summary of this study,which analyzes the shortcomings of this study and forecast the future of English classroom situational language teaching in junior middle school.
