The interpreters' work environment is complex and varied, full of pressure and challenges. As a common form of speech, impromptu speech has its characteristics of being casual and flexible, which increases the difficulty of interpreting into target language.Especially in the Spanish-to-Chinese consecutive interpretation, the linguistic features and sentence structure of these two languages are quite different. How to accurately extract information from the source language and make an idiomatic interpretation is undoubtedly one of the challenges in the Spanish-to-Chinese consecutive interpretation. This paper takes the consecutive interpretation practice of the 8th Latin American Summit Entrepreneur Forum as a study case.Through the transcription of the original text and the author's interpretation, this paper summarizes and classifies the challenges met in the impromptu interpretation from Spanish to Chinese, and analyzes the application of information reorganization strategies in the Spanish-to-Chinese consecutive interpretation. In view of the fact that the statements in the impromptu speech are not fluent, the content is verbose, the logic is unclear and the sentence structure is loose, the author draws conclusion that the interpreter can apply different information reorganization strategies in the Spanish-to-Chinese interpretation of impromptu speech: One is to cut down and compress redundant information;the second is to adjust the order of the mixed sentences;the third is to transform the sentence structure;the forth is to manifest the invisible logical relationship. The author hopes that these strategies can improve the efficiency and quality of the Spanish-to-Chinese consecutive interpretation in the impromptu speech.
