Bronze Wa Re Appraisal In Ningzhen Area

Bronze ware appraisal has a long history.Its emergence and development are closely related to the diversified values of history,art and economy.When judging the age of the bronzes in tombs and pits,the unearthed artifacts such as pottery and porcelain can be referred to the chronological order of stratigraphic relations to find the basis for their own dating.However,there are still a large number of bronzes that cannot be dated,and there are also a large number of imitators.In this case,the traditional way of bronze ware identification has been unable to meet the current cultural relic market and research field.Using scientific and technological analysis and adopting innovative methods has become an urgent problem for appraisers.In the process of scientific and technological appraisal,the source and origin of bronze ware should be studied first,and then the intrinsic properties of bronze ware should be analyzed.Only when the above necessary conditions are met can the vessel be of appraisal va ue.In this paper,the method of scientific and technological appraisal is applied to sort out the bronze wares in ningzhen area comprehensively.First of all,the traffic,mineral distribution and bronze smelting in ningzhen are studied based on the results of mineralogy,scientific and technological detection and literature,so as to construct the inherent material and component boundary of the vessel.Secondly,through the study of the intrinsic properties of bronze ware,it is proved that the basic characteristics of bronze ware conform to the era.Using scientific instruments to study 24 pieces of bronze ware in ningzhen area,reveal the alloy change rule of the bronze ware,make quantitative analysis of the element of the ware,and judge the age of the bronze wa re.In this paper,the validity of scientific and technological methods in bronze ware identification is discussed.It's not just relying on traditional identification.Based on scientific and technological appraisal and supplemented by traditional appraisal,a systematic and reasonable appraisal basis of bronze ware was explored through sorting out the attributes of bronze ware,and a set of bronze ware appraisal scheme was summarized.This paper hopes to arouse the attention of archaeologists to scientific and technical appraisal,and provide a new direction for the development of scientific and technical appraisal in the future.
