Reading is one of the basic ways of human cognition and plays a vital role in the study of second language.Whether an international student uses reading strategies and what reading strategies are used in reading determines the quality of reading.The research on the second language reading strategy in Chinese academic circles started late,the angle is single,and English is the main research object.The research results of Chinese as a second language reading strategy are few.There are few precedents for domestic and foreign scholars to study the reading strategies of foreign students from the perspective of second language teaching psychology.This paper records and analyzes the survey from the perspective of for second language teaching psychology,taking Hebei University as an example.This study divides reading strategies into cognitive strategies,compensation strategies,metacognitive strategies,and emotional strategies.It mainly uses questionnaires to investigate the use of reading strategies by 100 long-term international students at Hebei University.It mainly studies whether the overall application of foreign students' reading strategies and the choice of foreign students' majors,Chinese proficiency,age,personality,etc.are related to the choice of reading strategies,and what are the relevant problems.This paper uses SPSS software to descriptive statistics of 81 valid questionnaires in this study.Through the analysis of statistical results,it is concluded that the overall use frequency of reading strategies of international students of Hebei University reaches the intermediate frequency level,indicating that the reading strategy is more effective.Seen,the frequency of application of the four reading strategies is positively correlated with the growth of Chinese majors,age,and Chinese proficiency,and there is no significant correlation with personality factors.Based on the conclusions reached,the author puts forward the teaching of foreign students' reading strategies: according to the actual situation of international students,strengthen practical,specific strategy teaching,and cultivate strategic awareness and other series of teaching suggestions.This study carefully investigates and analyzes the use of reading strategies by international students in Hebei University.Based on the analysis results,it puts forward practical teaching suggestions,which is conducive to the improvement of reading level and the cultivation of independent learning ability.
