The World's Most Beautiful Castles is a travel book written by Jasmina Trifoni,which mainly talks about the history,location and other details of 50 castles around the world.This practice report mainly talks about the translation of 13 castles.This translation practice report consists of four chapters.The first chapter is task description,including an overview of the source text and the significance of this translation practice.The second chapter is the introduction of translation process,which is divided into 3 stages,namely,pre-translation stage,translation stage and post-translation stage.The pre-translation stage mainly introduces selecting CAT tools,reading parallel texts and collecting relevant background materials.The translation stage talks about the selection of various dictionaries and the integration of term base.The post-translation stage presents the review of translation text.The third chapter is case analysis.The author analyzes the difficulties encountered in the translation practice and proposes corresponding translation methods under the guidance of three rules of skopos theory.The last chapter is the author's conclusion of this practice.Through this translation practice,the author has a deeper understanding of the western castle culture,and more importantly,the author is more familiar with the translation of tourism texts,which lays a deep foundation for the translation of tourism texts in the future.
