The sense of self-efficacy was first put forward by the American behaviorist psychologist and the founder of social learning theory Albert.Bandura in 1977,referring to a person who believes that he has the ability to organize and execute to achieve a certain certain achievement.Conviction.According to Albert.Bandura's Self-Efficacy Theory,self-efficacy can not only make predictions and judgments for future actions, but also have an important impact on how people's psychological factors are exerted when they perform this activity. As one of the intrinsic motivations,it also determines human behavior.Domestic scholars Wang Zhenhong,Wang Kairong,Xin Tao,and Li Qiong's research results show that self-efficacy can predict academic performance,it has an intuitive impact on students' academic performance, and there is a positive correlation between academic self-efficacy and academic performance.influences.Hu Guiying and Xu Baihua's research shows that self-efficacy can indirectly influence students' academic performance by affecting students' learning strategies. In order to verify the research results of Wang Zhenhong,Wang Kairong, and others, and to improve the self-efficacy of junior high school students, the author made the following two studies.Study 1: The correlation between junior high school students' language achievement and self-efficacy.The author used a questionnaire survey to select a total of 523 students from three grades of junior high school in a school in Nanchang City and used Zhang Jianxin's revised "Seis Self-Efficacy Scale"(SEIS)to measure the level of self-efficacy and took all subjects. The language scores of the students were also entered into SPSS 22.0,and correlation analysis was used to verify the relationship between their scores and their self-efficacy scores. The results showed that: p <0.01,there was a significant correlation between the scores of the subjects' language and self-efficacy.Study 2: Group counseling has an effect on improving the self-efficacy of junior high school students. The author used interviews and experiments to first interview all students in grade 2 and grade 2 of junior high school(the results of the two classes were parallel). The main content of the interview was “What are the reasons that you think affect your own language performance?” The results show that 63% of the students think that “how many of their abilities have higher scores”(that is,the level of self-efficacy)can affect their language performance.Among the students interviewed, most of the students who scored between 135-142.5 points(90-95 points)had a higher self-efficacy.The scores were 112.5-135(75-90 points for the percentage system). The students' self-efficacy was generally moderate.Students with scores between 105 and 112.5(70-75 points for percentage points)generally stated that they “don't think they have the ability to score higher”.The results show that the level of self-efficacy plays an important role in improving the performance of the students in the interview. This is also consistent with the findings of Schunk et al.in the previous article, that self-efficacy has a correlation with performance. In order to improve students' self-efficacy and improve their language performance, the authors used experimental methods to select 14 subjects from lower self-efficacy scores and divided them into experimental and control groups.Test-post-test-tracking test to conduct group counseling experiments and SPSS 22.0 to analyze the data. The results showed that in the experimental group students, the scores between the pretest and posttest were significantly different(t=-7.833,p<0.01)on the total score of self-efficacy.The students in the control group were on the total score of self-efficacy.There was no significant difference in scores between the pretest and posttest(t=-1.647,p=0.134>0.05).There was no significant difference in scores between posttest and follow-up test among the experimental group students on the total score of self-efficacy.(t=2.049,p=0.071>0.05).Group counseling can improve the self-efficacy of junior high school students to some extent, but if you want to maintain good results, you need to carry out this activity regularly. In summary, group counseling is an effective way to improve the self-efficacy of junior high school students.
